AMSG in the MLS
AMSG FC continues its legacy as the premier destination for players in the pre-professional soccer development scene with two notable AMSG alumni recently securing roster spots in Major League Soccer, the highest level of American soccer.
Sebastian Nava (’24)
Sebastian Nava, a forward who played Division I soccer for the University of Portland in addition to wearing AMSG red, recently signed with Los Angeles FC 2 in the MLS Next Pro League. Nava’s most recent appearance was as a starter for LAFC 2 against FC Arizona in the U.S Open Cup. In the outing, Los Angeles routed Arizona 7-1, and Nava recorded one goal and two assists in the victory. Nava’s next game is against AV Alta FC in the second round of the U.S Open Cup on April 1st at 10:30pm. Nicklaus Sullivan (’24)
Having played collegially at Cal State San Bernardino than playing for LAFC, Arizona-bred forward Nicklaus Sullivan was recently selected 90th overall in the MLS SuperDraft by the LA Galaxy. The previous year saw Sullivan take the pitch for both AMSG FC and LAFC 2. Sullivan appeared in 15 games total for LAFC 2, and scored four goals in his time in MLS Next Pro. The LA Galaxy are slated to play the Tigres on April 1st at the StubHub Center in the Quarterfinals of the CONCOCAF Champions League. The match will be happening April 1st, 11:15PM EDT and can be streamed via Vix, FS2, or TUDN. The pre-game report can be found on the LA Galaxy site, and tickets can be purchased via AXS.
With more and more players moving on from AMSG to sign contracts with the highest level clubs in the States, AMSG continues to redefine the standards of player development and competition in both California and beyond.

UPSL: AMSG defeats SoCal United 4-1 in an away match, breaking a two-game losing streak and increasing to an even 2-2 record. The team’s next match is against San Fernando Valley FC on AMSG’s home turf of Boswell Field, April 5th at 7:00pm PDT. Tickets are available for purchase here.
