AMSG FC was hosted by SoCal United at Lake Forest Sports Park in Orange County for an away match. AMSG took down SoCal 4-1 in a decisive victory, surging back from two losses against Inland Empire and Ocelot Academy.
Striking first for AMSG was midfielder Raul Ortiz in the tenth minute, putting them up 1-0. The scoreboard would remain stagnant until the half, with neither team finding the netting for the rest of the half.
Putting SoCal on the board was Jose Garfias off a penalty kick, tying up the game 1-1 in the second half. Reclaiming the advantage for AMSG was attacker Logan Lucas, putting AMSG up one with little more than 18 minutes to go in the match.

AMSG had another in the barrel, as Jiro Uchida connected from 30’ only two minutes later, putting red up by two. Finishing the trifecta in the second half was midfielder Chris Vega as his ball kissed the top-left netting to add yet another point to the AMSG lead – marking the third and final goal of the second half. The game was called shortly after, as AMSG left the pitch victorious over SoCal, 4-1.
With the win, AMSG’s record increases to 2-2 in conference play. Uchida maintains his lead scorer position on the squad with his third goal of the season. AMSG FC is scheduled to return home to Boswell Field to host San Fernando Valley FC on Saturday April 5th. The next home game will be against Chiriaco FC.
